In the 19th century, the Mill of Fernán Pérez was the meeting point for most of the farmers of the area, who came to grind their grains and exchange their products. In the 60s, Juan Goytisolo found it working, for his surprise, while walking through the Lands of Nijar. It was not used anymore by the 70s, though.

Both the Windmill and the tank of the "cortijada" are part of the ethnographic heritage of the area. They were progressively damaged until 2006, when an inversion of the European Social Fund made them come back from the death.

One of our objectives is to put value in this coming back from the death, making available guided tours and different activities.
